REBATTEX and Garantigruppen Partner to Enable Battery Warranties for Second-Life EV Batteries Across Europe

Rebattex AB has entered into a cooperation agreement with Garantigruppen i Norden AB to enable warranty solutions for purchasers of second-life EV batteries traded through the Rebattex platform across Europe. The collaboration aims to strengthen trust and reduce risk in the growing European market for reused EV batteries. Through the cooperation, buyers on www.rebattex.com will be offered battery warranty products provided and administered by Garantigruppen. The solutions are intended to support transactions across the EU and Norway, creating a scalable framework for safer and more

standardized battery reuse. The warranty is applicable for buyers with intended reuse in vehicle repairs and repurpose projects, such as energy storage solutions. Thereby, the warranty adds to the list of several other trust factors, such as verified State of Health data, Traceablity & Compliance, AI-controlled listings, ADR-compliant transport containers, and Safe transactions. “Trust and risk reduction are fundamental to scaling the circular EV battery economy,” said Andy Rietschel, CEO of Rebattex. “By enabling access to warranty solutions through the platform, we strengthen buyer

confidence even more, while maintaining a clear division of responsibilities between infrastructure provider and warranty provider.” The cooperation also enables the parties to jointly develop pricing models based on battery data, battery health, age, intended use, and other relevant parameters. "Our ambition is to make warranty protection a natural part of every second-life battery transaction, helping buyers and sellers operate with greater confidence across Europe” said Victor Ingerslev, CEO of Garantigruppen. Under the agreement, Rebattex will provide the digital platform, transaction

workflows, and relevant battery and transaction data, while Garantigruppen will remain solely responsible for warranty products, underwriting, claims handling, customer support, and warranty administration. About Rebattex Rebattex is the infrastructure layer for the circular EV battery economy, enabling safe, compliant, and efficient trading of second-life EV batteries. www.rebattex.com About Garantigruppen Garantigruppen i Norden AB provides warranty and protection products for vehicles and technical equipment, including specialized solutions for EV batteries and second-life applications.
