Rebattex AB has been named a finalist in four categories at the ATF Professional Vehicle Recycling Awards 2026 : Solution / Innovation, Digital Provider, Service Provider and Sustainability . The nominations recognise Rebattex’s work to build trusted infrastructure for Europe’s emerging second-life EV battery market, helping batteries move efficiently from their first life to their highest-value next use. As Europe’s EV fleet matures, growing numbers of batteries will become available through accidents, vehicle retirement and other events. Many retain substantial capacity and economic value,
but fragmented information, uncertain battery condition and limited market access make efficient reuse and trade difficult. Rebattex is addressing this by connecting battery information, assessment, valuation, market access and transactions, helping industry participants determine whether batteries should be reused, repaired, repurposed, remanufactured or recycled. “We are very happy to be recognised in four categories, but what makes these nominations particularly meaningful is the recognition of the problem we are working to solve,” said Andy Rietschel, CEO of Rebattex. “Europe has invested
enormously in electrification and battery manufacturing. We now need efficient infrastructure to keep batteries, their materials and their economic value circulating within Europe.” The need is becoming increasingly important with the implementation of the EU Battery Regulation and Battery Passport. A trusted second-life market can support compliance and cross-border trade while strengthening European circularity, competitiveness and geopolitical resilience. The ATF Professional Vehicle Recycling Awards take place on 26 November 2026 at Coventry Building Society Arena, UK. About
